A clear receipt for a small business

A receipt helps both parties remember what was sold, when, for how much, and how it was paid. It should be legible and easy to reproduce, but it should not be presented as a fiscal invoice unless it meets local legal requirements. Fleto creates operational non-fiscal receipts and commercial documents; it does not issue CFDI or process payments.

Step by step

  1. Identify the business

Include the trading name and a useful contact method. Avoid printing personal details that should not appear on every customer copy.

  2. Describe the transaction

Show the date, receipt number, items or service, quantities, unit price, and total. For service work, use a description the customer will recognize.

  3. State the payment method

Indicate cash, transfer, external terminal, store credit, or mixed payment. Never print full bank-account or card numbers.

  4. Clarify the document’s scope

Use wording such as “operational non-fiscal receipt.” When a customer needs a fiscal invoice, follow the separate tax process required for the business.

  5. Keep a copy

Print or download the document and retain the local sale record. Backups matter because Fleto does not keep a server copy.
